Is Laser Hair removal Permanent?



The hair follicle that we destroy is permanently gone forever, however hair follicles can regrow in its place. This is why single maintenance sessions are required after your course is finished, to ensure that no new hair grows.

How painful is Laser Hair Removal?



What is a hair growth cycle and how does it work?



Under normal circumstances, hair growth cycle comprises of three main phases: anagen, catagen and telogen.

Anagen: In this phase, hair is rooted in the follicle and contains quite of a lot of melanin. Laser treatment is most effective in this phase.

Catagen: Catagen is the phase when the lower part of the hair stops growing but does not shed and the follicle shrinks.

Telogen: Telogen is the last part of the growth cycle. It is a phrase when old hair falls out and begins preparation for the anagen phase again

How many sessions are needed?



The number of sessions required is contingent upon the specific objectives and individual skin and hair traits of each client. Typically, 6 to 8 sessions area recommended per area, with the possibility of requiring additional sessions as needed. Maintenance sessions may also be necessary.

Can be any area be treated?



When the precision of the laser and the required safety measures, any area of body can be treated at any type of skin and hair, from the most sensitive and delicate to the darkest.

How long does a session take?



Each sessions last between 5 and 50 minutes. For example:

Upper lip - 5 minutes
Full Face - 20 minutes
Armpits / Brazilian - 20 minutes
Full Legs - 40 minutes
Full Body - 1'20 minutes

Can I get Laser Hair Removal while pregnant?



Unfortunately no. It's not advised to laser hair removal whilst pregnant. If you discover you're pregnant during your course, let us know and we can pause your treatment.

Do I need to grow my hair for the treatment?



NO. You need to stop waxing, tweezing or using any means that pulls the hair out by the root for a month prior to the treatment. So, yes, if needed, you can shave between sessions. The recommended method is with razor or depilatory cream.

What does an initial Laser Hair Removal consultation consist of?



To achieve the best outcomes, a complimentary consultation evaluates skin and hair types, identifies the suitable laser technology, and establishes the number of sessions and intervals needed for laser hair removal. Clients receive information about the procedure and its advantages to ensure a safe and effective treatment experience.

How long is needed between sessions?



The frequency of sessions varies based on factors such as hair type, treated area, and the specific laser utilized. Typically, intervals for body and facial treatments fall within the 4 to 5-week range. As treatment advances and hair diminishes in both quantity and strength, the spacing between sessions grows. It’s important to note that each client receives a personalized protocol tailored to their unique circumstances, recognizing the individuality of each case.

Is Laser Hair Removal advisable in cases of folliculitis (ingrowns hairs)?



Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicles by bacteria that area normally found on women’s skin. Laser Hair removal is recommended because it eliminates the hair in cases of ingrown hairs and also reduces inflammation.

Why is so important to inform the laser technician about all the medication I take?



Some medications can increase the skin’s sensitivity to laser, raising the risk of irritation, hyperpigmentation, or even burns. For example: Accutane (isotretinoin), laser treatment will only be performed with medical advice, as this medication thins the skin and can cause adverse reactions. In case the photosensitizing antibiotics, such a doxycycline, you must wait at least 3 weeks after the last pill to ensure a safe treatment. Always inform about any medication before starting your sessions to ensure safety and the best results!
